July Sunshine Tag by Irene Tan
Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing with you all another tag featuring Clear Scraps and Faber-Castell gelatos. I've used several simple mixed media steps to create the background for this tag. Check out the tutorial below.

1) Firstly, paint over the chipboard tag with a layer of white gesso.

2) Then, apply a few colors of gelatos on top of it. Use your fingers to blend.

3) Use the diamond stencil by Clear Scraps with wet wipe to create the random diamond pattern on the background.

Be Free Mini Album

Be Free Mini Album by Irene Tan

Hello friends! Today, I would like to share with you all a fun mixed media album featuring Clear Scraps and Faber Castell gelatos! To create this album, I've used Clear Scraps mixable edgy album with Faber Castell metallic gelatos set.

I've had an amazing experience playing with gelatos on chipboard and acrylic. I will go through with you all each page in this album.

First of all, for the cover, I've applied some white gesso on the left of the acrylic piece. Then, I've colored it using some gelatos. To blend it, I've used my finger to lightly rub on it. To create the white damask images, I've used a wet wipe with a damask stencil by Clear Scraps. The wet wipe will remove the layer of gelatos and reveal the images. I've also used a gear stencil and some gelatos to create the gear images on it. To add more details to it, I've stamped on the right of the page using black solvent ink.

Now move on to the pages in this album.

There is actually not much done on the back of the cover. I've just stamped on it using black solvent ink and cut out an image to attached to it.

This is a chipboard base page. I've first covered the page using white gesso. Then, I've covered it with some gelatos. I've used the same techniques which I've used on the cover to create the dots and the shells images.

This is another chipboard page. For this page, I did not cover the page with gesso. Instead, I've used a stencil to apply the gesso on this page. It creates this cool textures and dimension on it. Then, I covered it with gelatos. To create the brighter color in the middle, I've lightly mists it with water and use a towel to pick up some colors from there. I used a black pen to accent some of the dots.

First of all, I've ran this acrylic page through an embossing folder. Then, I've sand the embossed image using a sanding block. I've used my fingers to applied the gelatos to it. To let it set, I've covered it with a thin layer of gel medium. To make colors stand out more, I've painted the back of this page with white acrylic paint.

Since I've painted the back of the earlier page with white acrylic paint, this means that this page is already prep for applying gelatos. I've used my fingers again to apply the gelatos and to highlight the embossed images, I've used a wet wipe to remove some gelatos on it.

On this chipboard page, I've first painted it with black acrylic paint. Then, I've used a dot stencil with gelatos to create some dots on it. For dimension, I've added tons of chipboard pieces on this page. I've painted them with black acrylic paint and high light them using gelatos.

I've also painted this chipboard page with black acrylic paint as the base. Then, I've applied some gelatos on its top edges. Mists the gelatos with some water and let it drip down. Later, I've used a diamond stencil with wet wipe and gelatos to create the diamond designs on it.

This is an acrylic page. I've first cut out the mask from some scrap paper and put it on this acrylic piece. Applied some white gesso around and on its left, use a gear stencil to apply the gesso. Use some gelatos to color the areas of gesso. Then, I've detailed the gears with black marker and jewels. For more colors, I've added a pattern paper from the back of this page.

It has been a fun and amazing experience playing with gelatos. Hope you all like this project!!
