Life & Color Bookmarks

Hi everyone! Have you ever had the moment when you are halfway reading a fun book and can't find a bookmark to mark where you've stopped at? I've experienced this incident many times because I tend to lost my bookmarks easily.... LOL! Therefore, I will always create some bookmarks with some of my leftover papers whenever I can.

Today, I would like to share some bookmarks which I've created using BoBunny Life in Color collection. The colors and images of this collection inspired me to create some cool bookmarks. Here are some closer look at them.

I've cut out tons of pieces from the pattern papers to create some layering on this bookmark. To add some details, I've used some pearlescent and transparent gel.

Now, let's take a look at this second bookmark.

This time, I've added a third color, orange, to the color theme in the earlier bookmark. This better described the sentiment color of this bookmark.

Sometimes, I do think that we need different types of bookmark to create the right mood and feel for us when we are reading a certain book. And having all these different bookmarks are perfect just for that. Happy creating!

Going Back to Medieval Times in Ghent, Belgium!

Ghent is a port city in northwest Belgium. It is in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It’s a university town and cultural hub. Its pedestrianized center is known for medieval architecture such as 12th-century Gravensteen castle and the Graslei, a row of guildhalls beside the Leie river harbor. Check out some of my captures via the video below. Enjoy!

Believe Layout

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing another layout with you all. This time, I've used BoBunny's Believe collection. I love how colorful this collection is and it just makes me want to create a happy and fun layout using it. This layout is also a mixed media layout. I've used tons of mixed media techniques on it.

Here are some close-ups.

I've used some stencils and glimmer spray by BoBunny to create the fun background for this layout.

To blend the canvas strips with the layout, I apply some gesso over them and later mist them with some paints.

For more fun textures, I've randomly added gesso all around the layout. Hope you all like this layout and start playing with some colors!

You're Growing Tag with Tutorial

It's that time again where I will share a tag for the month. This month, I've created a tag inspired by the season, Spring. I've used Clear Scraps chipboard tag as the base for this tag.

Some close-ups.

The chipboard fern branch is also by Clear Scraps.

Here are some simple steps in creating this tag.

1) Paint both the chipboard tag and the chipboard fern branch with white acrylic paint and let it dry.

2) Add color to both chipboard pieces using a mixture of gelatos. While choosing your colors, take into account the brightness and shadings.

3) Use a wet wipe and the polka dot stencil to remove some gelatos from the tag. This will create some white polka dots on it.

4) Cut out some images from pattern papers and adhere them on the tag with the chipboard fern branch.

5) Use some faux moss and twine to create the nest.

6) Add some flowers on the tag.

7) Lastly, add some dimensional paint dots on the fern branch and a ribbon on top of it.

Hope you all like today's little tutorial and have fun playing!

Cute Owl Shaker

Hello everyone! Are you all ready for another altered project from me? Today, I'm sharing an altered owl shaker which features Clear Scraps new mini owl shakers. This is a very easy project.

Here are some details.

I've first covered the shaker with some pattern papers. To create the beak and eye lid, I've cut out separate pieces of pattern papers and adhered on it. For some sparkle, I've added some glitter on it.

To make it more feminine and cute, I've added a flower, feathers and some ribbon on it. The flower and feather is by Petaloo.

What do you all think of this shaker? Give it a try!
